Bullets prepare for NBL24 after strong NBL1 showings

Hadley, McDaniel, Sobey and White recognised with NBL1 Awards

Ahead of the NBL1 National Finals this weekend, we take a look at some of the performances by the Bullets squad across NBL1 as they now turn their attention to the NBL24 pre-season.

New Brisbane Bullets recruits Gabe Hadley and Sam McDaniel were recognised for their strong performances throughout the 2023 NBL1 South season.

Hadley was named in the NBL1 South All-Star Five. He finished as the second-leading scorer in the competition, with 24.7 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game across 21 appearances for Geelong United. He also shot an efficient 47% from the field.

Sam McDaniel was named as NBL1 South Defensive Player of the Year. McDaniel got it done across the board for the Hobart Chargers finishing with 22.4 points, 8.8 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game.

In the NBL1 North, Nathan Sobey, led the Ipswich Force to the NBL1 North Championship and was named NBL1 Grand Final MVP. Across the season he led a stacked Ipswich line-up with 23.9 points per game shooting 46% from the field. He also averaged 5.4 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game.

Also in the North, Isaac White led the country in scoring with 32.7 points per game while shooting 50% from the field. He also led the Mackay Meteors in rebounds and assists with 7.3 and 6.5 per game respectively. For his efforts, White was named in the NBL1 North All-Star Five.
