The NBL have today announced the schedule for the upcoming NBL23 season.

The NBL have today announced the schedule for the upcoming NBL23 season.

In what is set to be a blockbuster home opener, the Bullets first game at Nissan Arena will come in Round 3, on Sunday 16 October against the defending champion Sydney Kings.

Brisbane will commence their NBL23 campaign on Sunday 2 October in Perth followed by games in Sydney and Tasmania prior to their first home game.

Bullets members and fans will be excited to note that there will be plenty of family friendly entertainment during the summer holidays, with eight of the Bullets home games to be played over that period.

Other highlights of the schedule include a New Year’s Day clash against Melbourne United and a January 26th Public Holiday game against the New Zealand Breakers.

Brisbane Bullets CEO Peter McLennan welcomed the NBL23 schedule announcement and can’t wait to see Nissan Arena filled this season.

“It’s been a disruptive and challenging two years with having to manage delayed season starts due to Covid. We’re thrilled to get back to our normal season scheduling with an October start and we are very much looking forward to welcoming our members, fans and corporates back to Nissan Arena for another great season.”

“What better way to commence your 14 home games than by taking on the reigning champions, the Sydney Kings. The 16th of October is a date we’re all looking forward too.”

“The Brisbane Bullets game day experience is one of the best in the market and we can’t wait to elevate them again in NBL23.”

“There will be no shortage of entertainment over the summer holidays with a stretch of games over December and January for the whole family to enjoy!”

The NBL returns to its traditional summer timeslot with every game of the season broadcast live on ESPN via Kayo and Foxtel, and Sunday games simulcast on 10 Peach and 10 Play.

“We are thrilled to be back where we belong on the sports’ calendar and playing in spring and summer, through to March next year,” Hungry Jack’s NBL Commissioner Jeremy Loeliger said.

“After two interrupted seasons, we are excited to provide fans with a full schedule so they can confidently plan for the year and attend and watch as many games as possible.”
